Hey Juniors, next year will be your last year of high school. It will be exciting to journey into your next step of life, but it will also be a stressful step. Don’t panic, here are some tips to surviving your senior year:
1. Senior year isn’t as scary as it seems. Yes, you’re finding where to go to college, a roommate, a job, etc…; but when you do decide on your next move (college, work), many things are going to start to fall into place.
2. You’re going to have a roller coaster of emotions throughout the year. At first, it will be very stressful; then you’ll feel the overwhelming joy of graduating -also known as senioritis (which yes, is VERY real); then when graduation hits you and you start walking to get your diploma, you get a realization that all of your friends may be splitting into different parts of the world, and you will be overcome with a wave of sadness/pride. Don’t be afraid to say goodbye.
3. YOU ARE MORE THAN JUST A NUMBER. Sure, grades and the ACT/SAT scores help you get into college, but they don’t define who you are. If you get rejected from a school, that doesn’t mean you aren’t qualified – God still has a plan for you.
4. Don’t forget to study, but don’t forget to enjoy your senior year. The classes will be hard, and you’ll most definitely need to study. But it’s also your senior year!! Get out there, make memories, take pictures…these will be the best and last memories you’ll have of high school. Don’t take them for granted!
5. Finally, be yourself. High school can be one of the most judgmental places. But don’t listen to people who want to bring you down; be you. You are a literal temple of God, and that’s all that really matters. If you put your life in God’s hands, life will become so much more fun and less stressful than if you live your life for the world.

Senior year goes by so fast. So have fun, be safe, and live it for the One who knows where your life will be going.
