The Faith baseball team is heading to state again this weekend. It was victorious last year and has had a promising season. The team has become more unified as the season has progressed. It has truly taken every guy to contribute to some wins this season, and the unity of the common goal has really helped. The guys truly cared about doing the best they could as a team, which has paid off. The regionals games were very close, with outstanding effort by all players. Landon Ford, the starting pitcher, is very consistent and one of the top pitchers in the state. Tyler Mattingly and Tristan Smith have been big hitters for the team. The have pulled some important clutch hits recently. All the players are excited to keep going with the season. Valley is the first game in their state schedule on May 23rd at 12:30 at Silver Creek High School. The biggest competition in the state will likely come from Lamar and Peak to Peak. Go out, and support the team as they aim for a repeat championship. Go Eagles!
