A Voice in the Wind is an exciting book by Francine Rivers. The story is about a Jewish girl who is caught in the middle of Jerusalem’s destruction. As Hadassah watches everything around her perish, she is sold into a rich family of Rome. There, she meets the Valerians, who are a family of self-centered, powerful people. Hadassah learns to show the love of Christ, while enduring her master’s continuous carelessness of everything around her. Francine Rivers illustrates what life was like during Israel’s destruction using an enticing, violent love story to wrap the minds of readers around the concept of forgiveness. In all, it is an adventurous book that begged for a re-read.
