Nanbaka is a Japanese show that takes place in a prison. Many may think that in this setting it may be a serious show, but it is far from it. Nanbaka is a comedy that just might make you drop and die of laughter. The story is centered around four inmates: Uno the gambler, Rock the food lover, Jyugo the escape artist, and Nico the anime lover.

These four characters are constantly getting into trouble trying to escape; at some points, the show is so out there that you can’t help but laugh and keep watching. I will tell you one thing, you won’t get bored watching this show; it will keep you glued to your seats and your giggles coming.

PointofViewMan had this to say on the anime: “Nanbaka is probably one of my favorite shows that I’ve ever watched, and I’ve enjoyed it immensely. I would love nothing more than to give it a 9/10 or 10/10.” (anime-planet.com)

This show is great for all lovers of the goofy and weird; the main cast will keep you smiling, and the whole show has its own unique charm about it. I give it a 10/10 and recommend it to everyone, even to people who don’t watch too much anime.

As a warning, I will say, though, this show is not meant to be taken in a literal sense and may not be a good choice for people who have a hard time understanding outlandish comedy.

Anime really has something for everyone. If you think that Nanbaka is not for you, keep watching for other anime reviews.
